A series of lifeguard training classes will be held at the community pool. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Lifeguarding/First Aid Certificate which is valid for 3 years and a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer which is valid for 1 year.

There is a special event scheduled at the Wellington Pool for Friday June 27, 2008 at 9:30am.
For those of you who do not already know, QDD has been hosting an Olympic Athlete, Eman Jose Crescimbeni. Eman will swim for Peru in the upcoming 2008 Summer Olympics scheduled for this August in Beijing, China. He has come here to train under QDD’s Head Coach (Coach Yearwood).

There will be a meeting to address parking concerns and resolution strategies for Section 17A, Acer Lane and China Grove Court. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:00pm in the Community Center.
This meeting has been added to the events calendar on the community website.
Friendly reminder… The Board of Directors meets this Tuesday evening at 7pm (June 17th). We are meeting at the Community Center – although it may be poolside under the pavilion.
Residents are encouraged to attend, get informed, voice concerns or compliments. On the agenda is an update on the Community Center reconstruction and a crime report from Lt. Tina Panell-Laguna.
After numerous hours and much work on the part of many individual’s the restoration of the pool and bathhouse has progressed to the level that your board of directors is able to open the pool for use this weekend. There is a scheduled swim meet for Saturday morning, however the pool will be open to Wellington residents and those individual’s with non-resident memberships at noon on the 14th.
