Fall 2009 Newsletter

The Fall edition of the community newsletter is now available.

Covenants Committee Needs Volunteers

The Covenants Committee is looking for additional volunteers. The Committee is tasked with reviewing design applications that are submitted for approval each month.  They meet most months on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7pm. Additionally, the Covenants Committee conducts hearings for owners that have not complied with covenant violations, granting/denying extensions, and making recommendations to the Wellington Board of Directors. If you would like to be a productive member of this team of volunteers, please contact Diane Hartman via mainoffice@wellingtonca.org.  The next meeting is September 1 at 7pm. Time commitment is approximately 1 hour per month.

Hello Wellington Residents, I wanted to post a summary of the late summer activities around the Community. This month we have information about a free tree planting sale along with community events including tennis lessons, RAD for Women and RadKIDS classes at the Community Center.

Condominium Paving 8/18/09-8/21/09

The Wellington Condominium Association will have paving/resurfacing/crack repair and line painting occurring from 8/18/09-8/21/09. For these days, during the hours of 07:00 to 17:00 parking on all Condominium’ maintained parking spaces will be strictly prohibited and violators will be subject to immediate towing without any prior warning at the owner’s expense. During the working hours of 07:00-17:00 residents will be required to use street based public parking, Condominium residents may park their vehicle within the community after each day’s work period 17:00, however said vehicles will be moved prior to the 07:00 start of work or subject to immediate towing without warning at the owner’s expense.

Personal Safety Program for Kids

The Wellington Community Association and Manassas City Police will host a “Personal Safety Program” for kids (ages 10 and up) on Wednesday, August 12 at the Wellington Community Center – 6:30pm. The purpose of this class is to provide information on keeping safe as well as direction on what to do if you witness a crime.

There is no fee for this class. Wellington kids and their guests (ages 10 and up), are invited to attend. It is not appropriate for children under 10 years of age. Parents welcome.
