This year’s National Night Out is Tuesday, August 4.
A National Night Out is a nationwide effort designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs.
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
- Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
It is celebrated in many ways from parades, city events, educational forums, and often by a scheduled walk through the community.
The Wellington Neighborhood Watch welcomes residents to meet at 6:30pm on Tuesday, August 4 at the tennis courts by the Community Center. This is a family-friendly event, so feel free to bring your water bottle, kids, strollers, bikes, socialized dogs, and friends! We will take a 30 minute (or so) walk through part of the neighborhood.
Stay safe and alert,
Suzanne Westre Seaberg
Wellington Neighborhood Watch Coordinator
