2009 Board Election Results

We appreciate everyone’s participation in the 2009 election process to appoint two new members to the Board of Directors.  However, after a tally was completed by the Elections Committee, it was determined that in order to meet quorum (enough votes necessary to confirm the decision), of the 101 ballots needed to meet quorum, we only received 83 qualified votes (18 short).

As a result, the two Board members whose term has expired have a choice to either stay on for the next year or voluntarily resign their position.  Should they choose to remain in their position, they will be able to do so for the next year, or until the 2010 election.  Conversely, should they wish to resign, the Board of Directors, or Board President, will appoint a new member for their replacement.

At this time, it has not yet been determined whether the members whose term has expired are willing or want to extend their stay for an additional year.  Once we receive official notification of their intentions, we will communicate the decision of the Board on the the Wellington website.
