2010 Board Election Results

As a result of the 2010 Annual Election, the following persons have been elected to serve on the Wellington Board of Directors. These residents will join Fran Guastadisegni and Leslie Kohn (current seated members) in service to the Wellington Community. The new members are (in alphabetical order):

Joe Koch
Bob Porch
Ed Pratt
Kyle Tucker
Jalon Zimmerman

Bob Porch, Ed Pratt, and Jalon Zimmerman will serve three year terms.  Joe Koch and Kyle Tucker will fill the vacancies not filled in 2009 and will serve for two years. The election committee would like to thank everyone in the community who participated to make this election process a success.

Offices to be held by each member will be determined by board election at the December 2010 Board of Directors meeting, December 21, 2010, 7 P.M. at the Community Center. Residents are encouraged to attend the Board meetings.

2010 Holiday Decoration Contest

It’s time for the 2010 Holiday House Decoration Contest! Help create community spirit and spread the Holiday cheer!

Prizes will be awarded to homes under various categories including Nostalgic, Animated, Clark Griswold and more. Judges will be in the community on Saturday evening, December 18th.

If you would like to participate and have your home considered for one of the prizes, please fill out the entry form and drop it off at the community center by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17th, 2010. Call the office at 703-330-5019 for more information.

The Board of Directors and Management would like to thank the following local businesses for their support to make this event possible: Cracker Barrel, Lowe’s, Olive Garden and Target. Each business has donated gift certificates/cards for the winners in each decoration category. Prizes will be announced at the December 21, 2010 Board of Directors Meeting.

ARC Committee Vacancy

The Architecural Review Committee is tasked with meeting monthly to review architectural change requests from owners, based on the Wellington Community Design Standards and Guidelines. The Committee currently has one vacancy and is looking for volunteers.

To serve on the committee a member must be:
·         A titled owner of a property in Wellington
·         A member in good standing (assessments paid to date and no outstanding architectural violations)
 
The Board of Directors will address this appointment at the December Board meeting  (Dec 21, 2010 at 7pm in the community center). Volunteers are asked to attend this meeting to address the board directly.
 
Persons interested in serving on the committee are welcome to come to the December committee meeting ( Dec 7th at 7 pm at the community center).
