Architectural Covenants Administration

The Wellington Community Design Standards and Guidelines has been updated. Please take the time to read these guidelines as they contain important changes and improvements for the community and your property. This version is dated February 2007 and contains many clarifications such as:

  • Illustrations and photographs for key concepts.

  • Updated references to modern construction methods and building materials.

  • Many sections have been rewritten for clarity and ease of interpretation by the homeowner.

  • The new Vehicle Parking Policy, already in effect, can be found here.

The Covenants Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month. The function of this committee is to review and accept or reject proposed changes to the architecture of homes within the Wellington community. Any changes you wish to make to your property must be in accordance with the Wellington Community Design Standards and Guidelines and submitted using the Design Review Application.

Completed Design Review applications are due in the on-site office prior to the Covenants Committee meeting date.  Applications are not reviewed at any other time during the month. Wellington residents are welcome to attend these meetings. If you have been cited with a violation, please use the Violation Correction Form to report that the work has been done and the violation abated.

If you would like to report a Covenants violation, please use the Violation Report Form.

Original Paint Colors

The original paint supplier used for most of the Wellington Community was Duron. There is a Duron Paint Store close by on Manassas Drive. The Duron store can supply the original paint colors from the paint pallette in the Wellington office. There is a Wellington community discount code of 1151317 that you can use at the store.

The Wellington Neighborhood Watch

Dear Neighbors,

An online group has been formed for all residents interested in participating in the Wellington Neighborhood Watch program. Through this private group, we will communicate reports of suspicious activity and crimes, disseminate information, share news/press releases, post meeting and training dates, and discuss areas of concern.

If you want to be an informed resident and would like to be a part of improving our neighborhood by reducing crime, please join this online group. There is no minimum number of volunteer hours required. Your involvement may simply be something you are already doing... keeping a watchful eye while you walk the dog, drive down the street, look out your window, or take a walk.

When you join the group, you will be able to define how you would like to receive these communications (individual email, daily digest, web only).

Stay safe and alert,

Suzanne Westre Seaberg

Wellington Neighborhood Watch Coordinator
