There have been several questions about HOA fees, and the credit that the Board of Directors determined to pass onto homeowners from the Columbia Gas Easement proceeds.
HOA fees were NOT increased for 2018.
Each homeowner account was given a credit of $21.47. This was noted in the December 2017 newsletter that was posted to the website (http://www.wellingtonca.org/2017/12/december-2017-newsletter/) and mailed to each homeowner of record. Homeowners may choose to pay their monthly fee, less the credit. For those homeowners who have signed up for direct debit, we hope to have the monthly amount (less the $21.47 credit) withdrawn for the month of February, if for some reason the banks will not allow this, homeowners may contact the office, and request a paper check be mailed to their address on record.
The Board of Directors has voted to offer 50 additional Non-Resident pool memberships. After these memberships are sold, there will be no more offered. The cost for 2018 is $700.00 for a family of 5. Each additional family member is $25.00.
Inspections have started. The most common things that are sited are dirty siding, peeling paint, rotting wood and trash cans left out on non-collection days. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind residents that trash must be stored and set out for collection in rigid containers with tight fitting lids. This is to prevent wildlife rummaging through, and having the wind blow the trash throughout the community.
New doggie waste stations are being phased into the community. We are still getting a lot of complaints about folks not picking up after their dogs. It’s a simple courtesy to your neighbors, and it is the law.
