Friday Wine Downs!

Starting Friday, June 28, 2019 and continuing throughout the season, there will be “Wine” Downs on the pool deck every Friday from 7pm-9pm.  Patrons 21 years old and over may bring and consume their own alcohol on the pool deck during these hours. Patrons participating in this event must follow all pool rules. There are no glass containers permitted on the pool deck at any time.

Please note: This event is not Wellington HOA-sponsored.  The HOA Board of Directors, committee members, office management, and American Pool management and lifeguards reserve the right to request any patron leave the pool/pool area at any time, for any reason.

4th of July Pool Party Information!

The 4th of July Pool Party is from 11:00am to 4:00pm on the pool deck on Thursday, July 4, 2019.
There will be barbecue catered by The Bone in Manassas, as well as games, a DJ, and Kona Ice snow cones!  Wellington HOA Residents in good standing are admitted for free by presenting their access card (pool pass) at the gate to receive an event wristband and food ticket.  Wellington HOA Residents can also purchase up to 3 guest wristbands at $8.00 each in advance at the office with cash or check.  Guest wristbands are not available for purchase at the door. Guest wristband cost also covers one food ticket per wristband, provided at the gate. Wristbands must be purchased by July 2nd.   Pool occupancy is 350 persons and staff will keep count of patrons during the event so that we are in compliance with fire safety standards.
We will also need 10 resident volunteers for set-up crew, and 10 resident volunteers for clean-up crew.  Volunteers get to enter the pool deck early on party day, and the two cabanas on the pool deck will be reserved for volunteers.  Volunteer slots are on a first-come, first-served basis and the list fills up quickly!  Please contact Taylor Vasicek, Community Manager, by email at tvasicek@wellingtonca.org, to sign up to volunteer. Please understand that only residents on the volunteer list will be admitted on the pool deck early on the day of the event.

 

Non-resident members will be allowed into the pool at 2:00pm by presenting their facilities access cards (pool passes) at the gate to receive their wristband and food ticket.  An email will go out to the non-resident members with information.
Residents and non-residents MUST present their pool pass/facilities access card to receive their wristband.  We cannot provide wristbands to anyone who does not have their pool pass card physically with them. All wristbands (owner, guest, and non-resident) will be provided at the door. Attendees must be wearing a wristband in order to be admitted. Attendees not wearing a wristband will be asked to leave.

Guest Pass Policy and Summer Vacation Pool Hours

Guest Pass Policy:

Previously, Wellington residents/homeowners were told that guest passes from the previous year (2018) may be used in addition to the current year’s pass.  Upon review of the Wellington Pool Resolution, Management determined that the policy did not contain specific information on which guest passes are considered valid. Therefore, because the Resolution does not differentiate, for the 2019 pool season, the current 2019 guest pass AND all guest passes which have remaining punches, including years prior to 2018, will be accepted.

The Board will be reviewing the resolution and adding specific language pertaining to guest passes for the 2020 pool season, so this policy is likely to change next season. Any changes will be posted prior to the start of the season and included in the pool mailing for 2020.

Summer Vacation Pool Hours:

The Wellington Community Pool is located in Manassas City and follows the Manassas City school schedule.  The pool schedule will officially change to summer hours beginning June 14, 2019. On the 14th, the hours will be 11am-9pm.  To celebrate, there is a “School’s Out!” Pool Party on Saturday, June 15th from 2pm to 5pm at the pool. Pizza will be served.

From June 14th- August 16th, pool hours will be:

Monday-Thursday – 11am-8pm

Fridays and Saturdays – 11am-9pm

Sundays and Holidays – 11am- 8pm
